Inka Trail Trek

Inca people built a vast network of trails connecting important places in South America, it was estimated were built more than 40 thousand Kilometers of pathways all linked to Cuzco. The Inka Trail is by far the most famous trek in South America and is rated by many to be in the top 5 treks in the world. In just 26 miles (43km) it manages to combine beautiful mountain scenery, lush cloud-forest, and subtropical jungle, of course, a stunning mix of Inca paving stones, ruins, and tunnels. This trail with its mysterious archaeological sites and lush cloud forest rich in Andean flora and fauna ends in the Sacred Inca City of Machupicchu. Entering Machupicchu the way the Incas did, through “Inti Punku” (the Sun Gate), is a unique experience.
